Creator Spotlight - Andrea Bianco

Image
Name: Andrea Bianco Year: Sophomore Major: Information Management & Technology Hometown: Long Island, New York Hobbies: Socializing, Exercising  Favorite Sneaker: I believe your shoe can either make or break an outfit. My outfit feels totally ruined when I wear a shoe that doesn't compliment it. I have gathered quite the sneaker collection over the years most of them including a variation of Air Force 1's. I would describe my style as very laid back and matching my outfit with a pair of Air Forces never goes wrong. Not only do I love my classic plain white ones, but I am addicted to finding crazy new styles of them because you can dress them up or down. I think I realized my collection when I was trying to decide how many pairs I can fit in my dorm closet. I love the personalized look of the sneaker when they are painted on differently then they actually sell in stores. I find a majority of my coolest sneakers on Instagram accounts t...

Creator Spotlight - Kat Alnwick

Name: Katherine Alnwick Year: Junior Major: Information Management & Technology Hometown: Long Island, NY Hobbies: Running, Cooking, Shopping, Yoga Favorite Sneaker: If you know me, you know I'm not 'put together'. I'm always running back and forth getting things done and always seem like a mess. Not that I'm a slob, but I only wear jeans and cute outfits for the occasions - if I can wear comfy clothes, trust me, I sure am. That being said, a huge staple for me has been my shoes. Since I don't focus so much on dressing up and perfecting my outfit, I revert my attention to my shoes. I'm pretty basic about them, I only really wear white ones - simple. I love white sneakers because I think they look clean and sharp and regardless of what you're wearing, they match and pull together your whole outfit. I've bought so many different sneakers and even try to get myself out of this habit by buying colorful shoes, but they always end up finding...

Creator Spotlight - Paige Wucherpfennig

Name: Paige Wucherpfennig Year: Junior Major: Information Management & Technologies Hometown: West Hartford, CT Hobbies: Dance, running, sneaker shopping Favorite Sneaker: I have never been much of a girly girl. From a very young age, I have preferred sneakers and comfy clothes over jewelry and handbags. In middle school, I began to express myself by the shoes I wore. I wanted to stand out and be different from what everyone else was wearing. I never fell into the hole of buying a pair of shoes just because everyone else had them. I rocked hot pink DC's and the original Adidas Tubular sneakers. Since then, I have become quite the sneaker collector. I have over 30 pairs, which makes it extremely difficult to pick a favorite. However, if I absolutely had to pick I would say my Off-White Converse Chucks. These shoes were given to me by a very special person, making them that much more meaningful to myself. I also love the way Virgil, CEO of Off-White, brings his archite...

GOAT- Buy and Sell Sneakers

Image
Most people's first thought when going to buy shoes is to visit sites like Nike.com or Adidas.com. However, we hope to revolutionize the way you buy your sneakers. Today, we are doing a spotlight on a website and app called GOAT. GOAT is a sneaker shopping app where you can purchase rare and otherwise sold out sneakers. Shoes on the site tend to be on the pricier side, but it's worth it to get your hands on a pair of limited edition sold out Off-White sneakers for example. So, how does it work? Sneakers on GOAT are sold by sneaker lovers, just like you. You can upload sneakers to the site and list them as new, used or new with defects. Depending on the category they get placed into, the price with fluctuate. A seller must upload pictures of the shoes and a description of their condition. From there, buyers can scroll through the site or type a specific shoe into the search box. And I know what you're thinking, what if someone tries to sell fake sneakers as real ones...

Top 10 Kicks of 2019

Image
10) Nike Blazer Mid '77 . These Nike blazers brought back a reminiscing feeling of the 70's. Nike released colorway after colorway of the vintage looking shoe, which has a very similar design to the OG Blazers. 9) Comme De Garcons Play x Chuck 70 Hi Top. The Comme de Garcon and Converse collab has been popular for some time now. We think the multi heart rendition was a huge hit in 2019, coming in both white and black. 8) Yeezy Boost 700 V2 'Hospital Blue'. What's a sneaker countdown without Yeezys? This unique colorway brought a fresh image to the older Boost model. Kanye 2020? 7) Air Force 1 Low 'Star Studded'. Air force 1's will forever be a staple sneaker. With stars being such a big trend in 2019, this sneaker rendition with 3D silver studs was a big hit in our books. Comfortable but trendy. 6) Air Max 95 'Have a Nike Day'. The Have a Nike Day campaign was a huge success for the company in 2019. We enjoyed the colorway o...

About Us

Image
From sneaker heads to hype beasts, young adults are crazy over copping the newest sneaker drops coming from brands and collaborations such as Nike, Adidas, Air Jordan, Yeezys and Off-White. Our goal for Kicks of Cuse is to better represent this sneaker community on campus. Kicks of Cuse works like this; we will ask our friends and random students on campus to photograph their shoes and provide a short snippet about why they wear the shoes they do.  This will give us insight into the student's life, interests and personality. Taste of shoes can vary drastically, as we want students to get to know one another by the shoes on their feet. Each photo and quote that we take is posted to our Instagram, @KicksOfCuse so our followers can get to know one another by 'walking a day in their shoes'. Although Kicks of Cuse is based out of Syracuse University, we hope to gain more traction, and in the near future spread Kicks of Cuse to different college campuses.
