Favorite Sneaker: If you know me, you know I'm not 'put together'. I'm always running back and forth getting things done and always seem like a mess. Not that I'm a slob, but I only wear jeans and cute outfits for the occasions - if I can wear comfy clothes, trust me, I sure am. That being said, a huge staple for me has been my shoes. Since I don't focus so much on dressing up and perfecting my outfit, I revert my attention to my shoes. I'm pretty basic about them, I only really wear white ones - simple. I love white sneakers because I think they look clean and sharp and regardless of what you're wearing, they match and pull together your whole outfit. I've bought so many different sneakers and even try to get myself out of this habit by buying colorful shoes, but they always end up finding their way to the back of my closet and staying there for good. I chose to accept and stick to my 'white sneakers trend' and explore within that fashion area. Usually, I just rotate between the millions of white sneakers in my closet, but lately I've found myself wearing one specific pair more than others - White Canvas Old Skool Vans. I love them because I can wear them with absolutely anything and they're suitable for class or going out. They're the perfect mix between sporty, casual, and cute shoes to pull together your outfit and highlight your day.

From sneaker heads to hype beasts, young adults are crazy over copping the newest sneaker drops coming from brands and collaborations such as Nike, Adidas, Air Jordan, Yeezys and Off-White. Our goal for Kicks of Cuse is to better represent this sneaker community on campus. Kicks of Cuse works like this; we will ask our friends and random students on campus to photograph their shoes and provide a short snippet about why they wear the shoes they do.  This will give us insight into the student's life, interests and personality. Taste of shoes can vary drastically, as we want students to get to know one another by the shoes on their feet. Each photo and quote that we take is posted to our Instagram, @KicksOfCuse so our followers can get to know one another by 'walking a day in their shoes'. Although Kicks of Cuse is based out of Syracuse University, we hope to gain more traction, and in the near future spread Kicks of Cuse to different college campuses.

History of the Nike Air Force 1

     According to our followers on Instagram, the most popular sneaker currently is the Nike Air Force 1. So when did this sneaker come about?      The original Air Force 1 sneaker came out in 1982 and was soon discontinued in 1984. The modern sneaker design with the Nike swoosh was released in 1986. Since them, tons of different variations and colorways of the shoe have been created. The shoes are sold in 5 different styles including low, mid, superlow, high and super high.      As far as fashion trends go, these shoes were very popular in the late 80's and early 90's after their final release date. Soon after this though they became "uncool" and were not the most popular shoe teens were buying.
