About Us

From sneaker heads to hype beasts, young adults are crazy over copping the newest sneaker drops coming from brands and collaborations such as Nike, Adidas, Air Jordan, Yeezys and Off-White. Our goal for Kicks of Cuse is to better represent this sneaker community on campus. Kicks of Cuse works like this; we will ask our friends and random students on campus to photograph their shoes and provide a short snippet about why they wear the shoes they do.  This will give us insight into the student's life, interests and personality. Taste of shoes can vary drastically, as we want students to get to know one another by the shoes on their feet. Each photo and quote that we take is posted to our Instagram, @KicksOfCuse so our followers can get to know one another by 'walking a day in their shoes'. Although Kicks of Cuse is based out of Syracuse University, we hope to gain more traction, and in the near future spread Kicks of Cuse to different college campuses.

History of the Nike Air Force 1

     According to our followers on Instagram, the most popular sneaker currently is the Nike Air Force 1. So when did this sneaker come about?      The original Air Force 1 sneaker came out in 1982 and was soon discontinued in 1984. The modern sneaker design with the Nike swoosh was released in 1986. Since them, tons of different variations and colorways of the shoe have been created. The shoes are sold in 5 different styles including low, mid, superlow, high and super high.      As far as fashion trends go, these shoes were very popular in the late 80's and early 90's after their final release date.
